Manzanares Method of Reflexology Class

Instructor: Lise Grondin-Danault, LRT, BS, NBCR

Why would you want to take this class?

  • After the class you will gain a better understanding of “the birth of a deposit”

  • Find and feel different types of deposits associated with certain pathologies

  • Leave with new knowledge and skills for you to help your clients/patients improve quality of life

  • Earn 8 CE's or 16 CE’s from ARCB, which also means these CE’s count towards Dr. Manzanares Proficiency Certification Program.

  • Qualifies for "Returning Student Rate" when signing up for Dr. Manzanares Seminars.

What is the Science-Based Manzanares Method of Reflexology™?

“Reflexology can be defined as a reflex technique that is based on the neuro-biochemical action produced by stimulating a specific area of the foot that results in a general or partial repercussion (a reciprocal action or effect) in the body. This is possible because of the somatotopic representation—foot mapping which is the point-for-point correspondence of an area of the body to a specific point on the central nervous system of the human body on the foot, where every organ and parts of the body are reflected”. Jesus Manzanares, MD www.manzanaresmethod.com

Research in the field of reflexology began for Dr. Manzanares with a focus on three primary goals that he accomplished:

  1. to explain the neuro-physiological basis (the nervous system pathways for reflexology);

  2. to determine specific anatomical locations of the reflex areas of feet (developing precision mapping of the foot-to-body connection for over 40 years on 70,000 clinical cases);

  3. and finally, to establish reflexology protocols for pathologies.

What are the Objectives of taking a Manzanares Method of Reflexology™ class?

  1. Learn how the Central Nervous System (CNS) is involved in reflexology, (neuro-physiology)

  2. Discover the organic nature and composition of deposits

  3. Locate foundational reflex areas based on Dr. Manzanares medical mapping

  4. Gain knowledge of contemporary reflexology research (which Dr. Manzanares does on an on-going basis)

  5. Enhance palpation skills and assessment for deposits in the feet

  6. Observe and practice clinical reflexology techniques.

  7. Prepare you for attending a seminar with Dr. Manzanares who comes to the US once or twice a year.

Attending a Class:

Goals. Students attending these classes will learn the Manzanares Method of Reflexology© biopsy research and Press and Slide Technique©. Each class will also cover different aspects of anatomy, and students will learn the associated reflexology locations and deposits.

Course Format. There is a strong focus on learning the reflex areas by drawing on each other’s feet, hands-on work and a combination of lecture and student exchanges.

Who Can Attend. Classes are open to all health practitioners, wellness professionals and educators interested in contemporary science-based, anatomy-based education in reflexology: reflexologists, massage therapists, holistic bodyworkers, nurses and physical therapists.

Reflexology practitioners will be able to incorporate the Manzanares Method techniques into their existing model of reflexology to enhance career, confidence and outcomes in client care.

It is optional to attend one class or multiple classes.

New Definition of Reflexology, ARCB (American Reflexology Certification Board) November 2019:

“Reflexology, an integrative health practice, maps a reflection of the body predominantly on the feet, hands and outer ears. It uses unique manual techniques to deliver pressure to neural pathways assisting the body to function optimally.”
